Writers Wanted

The original Teachers20.com site fell by the wayside for a variety of reasons. Eventually it ended up simply redirecting visitors to the Ning community, which had more registered users at the time.

The problem is, 100+ registered users does not mean 100+ participants. While new people kept joining, conversations were sparse and sometimes posted by commercial entities.

Then Twitter came around, and everyone started spending all their time there - including us.

The purpose of this site is not to replace the Ning site completely. Rather, it is intended to be a front-end for the Teachers 2.0 community. Here, some of the more active members will post blog entries (possibly cross posted - there’s nothing wrong with that), share links, and so on. It is my hope that the activity on this site will encourage more useful dialog on the Ning site, but if it doesn’t, the conversations we have here should still be worthwhile.

So, after that lengthy introduction … we need writers! If what you’ve read above sounds good to you, why not register and give it a shot?  Your first post will be moderated, but that’s just a necessary evil to keep out the spammers.  After that posting is approved, anything you publish will go “live” right way.
